[edit] Where to start?

If you don't know where to start in the wiki, a good place is Special:Allpages, which is a listing of all the regular articles on the wiki.

If you want a more structured approach, try Special:Categories. We try to Categorize our wiki articles the best we can. If you see one that needs a new category or has an inappropriate category, feel free to edit the page. Remeber to fill out the Summary line at the bottom with justification and comments.

As you can see, there are some Special pages that are different from normal articles. A complete list of these pages can be found under Special:Specialpages, or you can click on "Special Pages" in the box on the right-side of every page marked "toolbox".

If you are just that bored, take a spin on Special:Random and see what you come up with :)

[edit] What can this wiki be used for?

As a growing UNIX user community thousands strong, SD has a significant volume of support requests. Chris and Sam cannot keep up with all of it, and the redundant nature of questions and issues has become apparent. Enter Project WikiSD. It provides the perfect way for users to not only ask questions, but have more experienced folks help them out with answers. If you can spare some time and knowledge, you can help make this a better service, which in turn benefits you as a user.

It's not all about support: It's no more and no less than you make it. There are a few wiki maintainers who can keep up with administrative tasks. Other than that, all users share equal access. So if you want to actively participate in this community, this wiki is a natural place to start. If you're unsure about posting or editing, then ask in a 'Talk' page or in the IRC channel.
